Have you found God yet?.......Didnt know he was missing

As a child and a teenager I believed that to hear or even see God first, you had to be Chosen like the prophets, and second you had to be a really good person, one that had repented of his or her "sins" and vowed never to commit sins again and to always be perfect for the rest of your life!............Now, if you were like me this seemed like an Impossible feat and you were just "doomed" to Hell and unhappiness. A couple of years ago I was led to Neale Donald Walsch's book "Conversations with God and written on the back of his book were these words.......

"I have heard the crying of your heart. I have seen the searching of your soul. I know how deeply you have desired the truth............Go ahead now. Ask me anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this...........The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line
of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear- all these devices are mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will
invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All Ways"
-Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations with God)

I have always been a skeptic.....always fearing to even consider something more than what I grew up believing.....but since what I believed wasn't giving me much peace of mind and my vision of even the after-life was daunting I decided to be open and consider all things. Now, I am not asking ANYBODY to follow my beliefs. However, this new belief that God IS in ALL things has brought me a lot of peace. In our day it seems like there is ALWAYS something negative happening and it is difficult to see the Beauty in our everyday lives.....My hope with this blog is that we can all start to see the Beauty, even in the midst of the fear and sadness.

***This Blog is NOT a "Let's see the positive in everything and push-out and ignore our angry and sad feelings that we naturally feel" blog! I think that these kinds of feelings are there for a reason and by ignoring them or pushing them away by always replacing them with positive thoughts, we are not being accepting and loving of who we truly are......EVERY part of us.
